Rowers Face First Competition in 2012

MSU begins quest for fifth-straight varsity eight gold.

2011:Served as the coxswain for the varsity eight for the third straight season... Honored as a member of the All-Big Ten Second Team ... named to the All-Central Region First Team... Captured a Big Ten gold medal in the varsity eight when the Spartans took first place in the race with a time of 6:17.12, a 3.41-second margin of victory over Ohio State at the Big Ten Championships ... Advanced to the Grand Finals at the NCAA regatta where the varsity eight rowed to a sixth-place finish with a time of 6:36.12...Helped the Spartans capture the Dale England Cup with a sweep of Boston University, Gonzaga and Indiana and posted a 4.1 second victory over the Hoosiers... Captured two Big Ten victories over Minnesota and Wisconsin with the varsity eight in the Spartans' only home race ... Helped MSU to a win over Texas by 4.3 seconds... Notched a 3.7 second victory over No. 17 Washington State with the varsity eight.

2010: Served as the coxswain for the varsity eight... First-Team CRCA All-Region... Defeated both No. 9 Michigan and Notre Dame in the first race of the season... Posted a season-best time of 6:15.9 in wins over Gonzaga and Buffalo... Recorded victories over Cornell, Indiana and Ohio State by 12 seconds or more... Took first place in the Big Ten Championships with a time of 6:17.41... Coxed the varsity eight to a second-place finish in the 2010 South/Central Sprints... Came in 7th place in the 2010 NCAA Regatta with a time of 6:28.53.

2009: A CRCA All-Central Region Second Team selection who served as the coxswain for the varsity eight boat in all seven races ... Helped the varsity eight to a first-place finish in the petite finals at the NCAA Regatta ... Member of the varsity eight crew which took first at the Big Ten Championships in a time of 6:06.30 ... Helped lead the varsity eight to a pair of victories at the Big Ten Double Duals ... Helped the varsity eight to an open-water victory over No. 20 Notre Dame in the season opening meet.

Prior to MSU: Member of the Canadian Junior National Team and Team BC in 2007... Awarded the Top Senior Rower award at Stelly's Secondary in 2007.
