2011:Has competed with the novice four, second novice four and second novice eight... Rowed to a fifth place finish with the second novice eight in the Big Ten Championships with a time of 7:11.13... Saw action in a novice four race and a second novice four race against Michigan where the Spartans won by margins of 7.57 seconds and 7.21 seconds... Competed against Michigan and Ohio State with the second novice eight. Prior to MSU:Lettered in soccer all four years of high school and was elected captain her senior season... Also ran cross country in high school, where she earned the Cross Country Spirit Award in 2009.... All-Academic All-Conference selection... Named Second Team All-Conference in soccer... Received the Marine Female Athlete Award and the Senior Athlete Award... Played for AYSO soccer. Personal: Born August 4, 1992... Daughter of Patrick and Gina O'Brien... Mother rowed at Grand Valley State University... Majoring in animal science. |
