Saturday's B1G Double Dual Moved to Ann Arbor
Spartans will race Big Ten foes Saturday
April 7, 2014
East Lansing, Mich. - - Due to course conditions, MSU's home race scheduled for this Saturday (April 12) will be moved to Belleville, Mich. The Spartans and the rowing team from Michigan will both race Minnesota and Wisconsin in a double-dual, beginning at 9 a.m.
"This was a tough decision, because you never want to give up a home race," said head coach Matt Weise. "We get so few opportunities to race at home. However, the harsh winter has our course unraceable at this time. We're thankful that we can move it to Michigan and still get this in, as we're really looking forward to getting out there and racing some Big Ten crews."
The Spartans have raced at Oak Ridge, Tenn. and on the home courses of Princeton and Rutgers in New Jersey so far this season. The Spartans will race in Clemson, SC and Charlottesville, Va. the next two weekends before returning to Ann Arbor to race Louisville and Ohio State in the final regular-season weekend.
