Spartans Look to Sweep Wolverines on Nov. 2

Rivalry Renewed: Michigan State finishes the balance of its regular season schedule on Nov. 2, as it travels into Ann Arbor to battle Big Ten-leading Michigan. The Wolverines are 14-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play. The Spartans knocked off U-M at home on Oct. 5, winning a 3-2 overtime thriller. MSU senior Rayna Hiscox scored the game-winner with 4:31 left in OT. The last time Michigan State swept the season series with the Wolverines was 1986, winning 2-0 at home and 3-0 in Ann Arbor.
Rough Weekend: The Spartans were swept in their final two home games of the season, dropping 3-1 decisions to Ohio State (Oct. 24) and Penn State (Oct. 26). Freshman Sofie Frankenhuis scored her third collegiate goal off a penalty corner for the lone tally against the Buckeyes, while Hiscox chalked up her team-leading 14th goal of the year against the Lady Lions.
