Four Spartans Named to National All-Academic Squad

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Four Michigan State field hockey players were named Academic All-Americans, released by the National Field Hockey Coaches Assosciation.

Senior Jill Lusher (3.321 GPA), junior Melissa Pryor (3.766), sophomore Nicole Catanzaro (3.321) and freshman Jacqueline Scally (3.633) received Academic All-American accolades. Lusher has now been selected for three consecutive seasons, while Pryor reaches the list for the second year in a row. Catanzaro and Scally are first-time honorees.

In order to be selected, players must maintain a 3.3 grade-point average and be a significant contributor to the team.
