Field Hockey Hosts Fall Clinic

The clinic will take place immediately following the Oct. 13 match against Rutgers.

Georgia Holland joins the Michigan State field hockey program for her first year of coaching after playing collegiately at Yale for four seasons and Wake Forest for one season.

At Wake Forest
Played for one season with Wake Forest after transferring from Yale University ... Named to the NFHCA All-American Third Team ... Earned a spot on the All-South Region First Team, the second overall All-Region Team selection of her career ... Named ACC Defensive Player of the Year ... Was a member of the All-ACC Second Team ... Scored the second goal on a penalty corner in a 2-1 victory over No. 6 Syracuse in the ACC Championship game.

At Yale
Joined the Demon Deacons after a four-year career at Yale... Served as captain for the Bulldogs during the 2013 season... Notched eight goals, four assists and 20 points during her senior season along with 10 defensive saves, good for the second-highest mark in the nation... Recipient of Yale's Francis Gordon Brown Prize that annually recognizes the athlete who best represents leadership, scholarship and service for the university... Earned unanimous First Team All-Ivy League accolades following the 2011 and 2013 seasons... Was the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Year in 2010... Also named to the NFHCA Second Team All-Mideast Region and the ECAC Division I First Team in 2013... Named a four-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad from 2010-13.

High School
Attended Ward Melville High School and earned four letters in field hockey under Head Coaches Nancy Cole and Shannon Watson... Was a 2009 NFHCA High School First Team All-American... Also earned four letters in basketball and two in lacrosse.
