EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team has announced its spring schedule that includes nine exhibition games in March and April. The Spartans will also host their annual Alumni Game on April 22 at Ralph Young Field.
MSU begins the spring on Saturday, March 25 when it hosts Central Michigan for a 1 p.m. match at Ralph Young Field.
The following weekend, the Spartans head to Louisville for a series of games on Saturday, April 1. All matches at Louisville will consist of two 25-minute halves, and MSU begins play against the host Cardinals at 9 a.m. Michigan State will then play a pair of Big Ten opponents, beginning with Ohio State at 1:30 p.m. followed by Indiana at 4:50 p.m.
Michigan State then heads to Northwestern for a five-game weekend featuring a slew of Big Ten opponents. On Saturday, April 8, the Spartans take on NU at 12:30 p.m. and Ohio State at 2:30 p.m. in a pair of games with 25-minute halves. On Sunday, April 9, MSU will play three games with one 25-minute period plus a 10-minute overtime against Iowa (10:15 a.m.), Michigan (11:45 a.m.) and Northwestern (2 p.m.).
