EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will feature a student-athlete every week this spring in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week, red-shirt sophomore Chelsy Coil (Middleburg, Va.) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions about her favorite movies and what she enjoys most about playing field hockey for MSU.

Name: Chelsy Coil

Nicknames: Chels, Bambi because my teammates say I look and run like a baby deer, and Big Girl because I am the biggest girl on our team.

Year in School: Junior

Hometown: Middleburg, Va.

Major: Interdisciplinary Health Studies

Jersey Number: 19

Best thing about being at MSU: Experiencing the coldest, longest winters and having the time of my life.

Favorite class: FCE 225- Human development across the life span.

Favorite movies: Gladiator, The Notebook, Up, Despicable Me, and Ace Ventura Pet Detective.

Favorite food: Chicken fried steak, but everything else is pretty close.

Favorite restaurant: Aberdeen Barn

Famous relatives: My mom and dad are my heroes.

Pets: Seven chickens, three cats (that I don't like at all) and a yellow lab named Lolly

Siblings: Gunner, Jessi, Tucker, and Hadley. I am the middle child

What do you want to be when you grow up: I would prefer to not grow up, but if I have to, I would like to do something with people or be a nurse.

The most exotic place you have traveled to: The Zoo.

Dream vacation spot: Greece or Spain.

Favorite musician or band: Lady Antebellum or Dirks Bentley

What song gets you pumped up before a game: "Get Outta Your Mind" by Lil John and "Turn My Swagg On" by Soulja Boy

Reason you came to MSU: It is a big school, has a great program and I love the team and coaching staff. We work hard and play hard.

Favorite thing to do besides play field hockey: Eat and play Mario Kart on game cube

Favorite store to shop: Nordstrom's Rack, or Gabriel Brothers (I am a bargain shopper)

If you were not playing field hockey, what other sport would you be involved with: Riding or lacrosse.

Favorite spot on campus: The Clara Bell Smith Center, or any cafeteria.

Favorite professional sport and team: NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers

Favorite game played at MSU: When we beat Michigan to win the regular season Big Ten title undefeated in 2009.

Pre-game ritual: Say a prayer, draw a cross on my hand, and act stupid in the locker room
