EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will feature a student-athlete every week this spring in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week sophomore Adelle Lever (Blue Bell, Pa.) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions about her favorite food and the reasons why she chose to play field hockey for MSU. Lever started every game for the Spartans this past season and tallied the game-winning goal in MSU's victory over No. 11 Wake Forest.

Nickname:Year in School: Sophomore.

Hometown: Blue Bell, PA.

Major:Jersey number: 9

Best thing about being at MSU: Being able to manage playing field hockey, school, and friends.

Favorite class: Physiology.

Favorite movie: Love and Other Drugs.

Favorite food: Hot sauce (I know it's a condiment but I put it on almost everything).

Favorite restaurant:< Benihana or any other kind of restaurant that is teppanyaki style Japanese cooking.

Special talent: I'm really good at handstand competitions.

Famous relatives: My very distant relatives invented Lever soap. My uncle works at Ford Motor Company in Dubai and was in a magazine there once.

Pets: My dog Buddy (at home) and my robo hamster Eric (at my aptartment).

Siblings: I have a younger brother Julion. He is four years younger than I am and I love him to death.

What do you want to be when you grow up: Possibly an occupational therapist.

Most exotic place you have traveled to: Cancun

Dream vacation spot: Hawaii

Favorite musician or band: The Goo Goo Dolls.

Song that gets you pumped up before a game: I need more than one song to get me pumped up. Our team's warm up CD usually does it for me.

 

 

Reason you picked MSU: The campus and team felt right, their Kinesiology program was ranked 16th in the nation, and I have family that lives in the Michigan area.

Favorite TV show: Top Chef

Favorite celebrity: Lea Michele

Favorite thing to do besides play field hockey: Cook

Favorite store to shop: Outlets.

If you were not playing field hockey, what other sport would you be involved with: Gymnastics would be cool.

Favorite spot on campus: My apartment.

Favorite pro sport & team: Ice hockey and the Flyers. Go Philadelphia!

Favorite game played at MSU: Freshman year when we played Iowa and I scored two goals.

Pre-game ritual: Doing whatever it takes to be as relaxed as possible when the game starts. My methods vary every time.

Anything else you want the world to know about you: I have an amazing recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
