Meet the Spartans: Katherine Jamieson

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will feature a student-athlete every week this spring in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week freshman Katherine Jamieson (Toledo, Ohio) sat down with to answer some questions about her favorite memories from her first season at Michigan State. Jamieson, who was most recently honored as the Rookie of the Year at the team's end of the season banquet, tallied three goals and five assists in her debut season as a Spartan.

Best thing about being at MSU: Spending time with my teammates

Favorite class: Interpersonal Communication

Favorite movie: Remember the Titans

Favorite food: Doughnuts

Pets: My dog Bailey

Siblings: My sister Megan is a senior at Northwestern on the Wildcat's field hockey team and I have a brother Andrew (17)

What you want to be when you grow up: I want to be involved with something to do with athletics

The most exotic place you have traveled to: Cancun Spring Break 2011 Dream vacation spot: Spain

Favorite musician or band: Rihanna and James Blunt

What song gets you pumped up before a game: Anything I can dance to

Why did you pick MSU: MSU has a great reputation of academic and athletic success. I also love the team and coaches.

Favorite TV show: Dexter

Favorite thing to do besides play field hockey: Dance parties

Favorite store to shop: Forever 21

If you were not playing field hockey, what other sport would you be involved with: Basketball or track



Favorite spot on campus: Late Night at Wilson

Favorite game played at MSU: When we played against BU and won 6-1.

Pre-game ritual: Dance party in the locker room.

Funny memory of a team mate or team trip: When Angela Pagura did a rap before our tournament game against UVA
