EAST LANSING, Mich. -- - Following the completion of the Women's National Championship in College Park, MD, National Futures Championship in Virginia Beach, VA and the Futures Elite Championship in Virginia Beach, VA, Michigan State field hockey players Becky Stiles (Medford, NJ) and Adelle Lever (Blue Bell, Penn.) were among the 102 athletes selected to attend Junior National Camp.

"Becky and Adelle's selection to Junior National Camp is a great honor for both of them," said head coach Helen Knull. "Adelle and Becky were key players for Michigan State last season and I expect them to have another strong year in 2012. Becky had the experience of playing with the U21 team in England earlier in the year and had a strong showing at High Performance where she competed for the New Jersey team. Adelle has attended USFHA selection camps before, but is looking to gain her first appearance in the Red, White and Blue. I think that Junior National Camp will be a great opportunity for both of these players to show case their talents and have an opportunity to perform at the next level."

The 2012 Junior National Camp will be held at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., July 9-12. At the camp, athletes will receive daily training and tactical sessions from some of the top coaches in the country, followed by test matches in the evening.

Junior National Camp serves as a selection camp for the 2013 U17, U19 and U21 U.S. Junior National Squads. Following the Junior National Camp, the athletes selected to the Under-21 squad will take part in another training camp as the newly- announced team will be preparing for the Junior Pan American Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico, in September.
