EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will feature a freshman student-athlete every week this fall in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week freshman Alli Helwig (Basking Ridge, NJ) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions about her favorite foods and her experience so far at MSU. Helwig has one goal so far this season.

Why did you pick MSU: I wanted a big school that was good at field hockey and when I came here I just felt like I fit

If you were not playing field hockey, what other sport would you be involved with: Lacrosse. I was considering playing it in college
