Meet the Spartans: Alli Helwig

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State field hockey team will feature a freshman student-athlete every week this fall in attempt to "Meet the Spartans". This week freshman Alli Helwig (Basking Ridge, NJ) sat down with to answer some questions about her favorite foods and her experience so far at MSU. Helwig has one goal so far this season.

Do you have any special talents: I can blow spit bubbles

Pets: Buddy my dog, B.B and Pan my cats, Mufasa my mini hamster and 10 chickens

What do you want to be when you grow up: A dentist

Why did you pick MSU: I wanted a big school that was good at field hockey and when I came here I just felt like I fit

Favorite thing to do besides play field hockey: Be with family and friends... and dance!

If you were not playing field hockey, what other sport would you be involved with: Lacrosse. I was considering playing it in college
