EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State field hockey will host its annual spring clinics with two different chances to learn from Spartan coaches and players. The clinic dates will be Saturday, February 3 and Saturday, February 24. Both clinics will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Duffy Daugherty Football Building.
Below are links to the necessary documents needed in order to register and participate in the 2017 spring clinic.
The spring clinics are designed to provide young field hockey athletes with an opportunity to hone their basic skills, play small games and meet the Spartan players and the MSU coaching staff. This fun, field hockey mini-camp is full of goal scoring, game play and specialized goalkeeping training sessions.
“We are excited to announce our spring clinic dates and look forward to having the opportunity to work with athletes and help them to improve their skills,” said head coach Helen Knull.
The clinics are open to girls and boys ages 10-18. Shin guards and mouth guards are required to participate; suggested attire is sports clothes and sneakers or turf shoes. It is requested that all athletes bring their own field hockey stick and goal keepers must bring all of their necessary gear to participate.
There is limited space for the clinic and registration prior to the clinic is required, no walk-up registration will be accepted. There is a $50 fee to participate in the clinic.
