Received a sponsor exemption to play in the Meijer LPGA Classic (Aug. 7-10) at Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan; shot a 7-over-par 149 (73-76) during her two rounds, missing the cut by only five shots . . . Finished runner-up at the Michigan Women's Amateur; won four matches in the 32-person match play bracket to reach the championship match, but fell 2 & 1 in the final to Jennifer Elsholz of Grand Rapids . . . After defeating Alicia Weber in the first round 5 & 4, McPherson beat Kelsey Murphy 2 & 1 in the second round, Hailey Hrynewich 3 & 2 in the quarterfinals, and Shannon Warner 3 & 1 in the semifinals . . . Tied for eighth in the stroke-play portion of the Michigan Women's Amateur with a 36-hole total of 150 (76-74) . . . Won the Midwest Collegiate Amateur Series event at Forest Akers West in August, shooting a 148 (73-75) ... Competed in the fourth annual Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship in July at the Wedgewood Golf & Country Club in Powell, Ohio; paired with teammate Christine Meier, the duo tied for 12th place with a 17-over 305 ... The pair compiled a 78 in the alternate shot round, a 72 in the best ball round, and a 155 in the final round ... 2012-13 - Sophomore
Competed in two tournaments and compiled a 81.50 scoring average in six rounds ... Tied for 54th at the Mary Fossum Invitational with a 238 (83-77-78) ... Competed as an individual in the Lady Buckeye Invitational and tied for 60th with a 251 (81-82-88).
Qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur after tying for second at her qualifying event by carding a 75 at the Country Club of Detroit in Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., on July 10 ... Tied for 139th with a 162 at the 112th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at The Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio ... Teamed up with Christine Meier to finish in 13th at the Pure Silk Women's Team Collegiate Championship with an 8-over 296 ... Advanced to the round of 16 at the Michigan Women's Amateur; tied for 11th during the stroke-play portion of the tournament ... Tied for 44th at the Michigan PGA Women's Open ... 2011-12 - Red-shirt Freshman
Tied for 45th at the Mary Fossum Invitational with a 242 (81-80-81) in her first collegiate tournament.
Paired up with teammate Christine Meier and competed in the second annual Hooters Women's Team Collegiate Championships in Dahlonega, Ga.; the unique format, which had 54 two-person teams from around the country, featured alternate shot in round one, best ball in round two, and the aggregate score of the two players in round three ... Along with Meier, tied for eighth at the event with a 2-under 286 (73-67-146) ... Advanced to match play at the Michigan Women's Amateur by tying for 25th in stroke play ... Defeated seventh-seeded Shana Bauer in the first round of match play, 1 up, before falling in the second round ... Tied for 25th at the GAM Championships (85-76--161).
