Meier had reached the semifinals of match play in 2009 and finished runner-up in 2010 ... Paired up with teammate Lindsey McPherson and competed in the second annual Hooters Women's Team Collegiate Championships in Dahlonega, Ga.; the unique format, which had 54 two-person teams from around the country, featured alternate shot in round one, best ball in round two, and the aggregate score of the two players in round three ... When I was seven, I first started to swing. But I didn't play tournaments until I was nine.

Being part of a team where everyone is friends and getting the chance to be a part of one of the best teams in the country.
