GREENSBORO, N.C. - The No. 22 Michigan State women's golf team got off to an excellent start at the Bryan National Collegiate on Friday, carding a 6-over-par 294 to sit in second place in the 18-team field, just two shots behind third-ranked Duke. The tournament, which is being hosted at the Bryan Park Champions Course, features 13 teams in the Golfstat Top 50, including eight in the Top 25.

She is tied atop the leaderboard with Laetitia Beck of Duke and Portland Rosen of Virginia.
Senior Allyssa Ferrell continued her remarkable run this spring with her fourth consecutive under-par round, shooting a 71 (-1) with three birdies, and is tied for fourth place; she set a Michigan State 54-hole record with a 9-under 207 (71-67-69) at the CDI in mid-February.
