No. 12 Spartan Women's Golf In Third Place Heading Into Final Round At Big Ten Championships

MADISON, Wis. - The No. 12 Michigan State women's golf team shot a 297 in the third round of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday and enters the final round in third place overall with a score of 883 (296-290-297). No. 8 Purdue leads the field at 865, while No. 19 Ohio State is in second at 880. Senior Laura Kueny shot a 74 on Saturday and is in third place on the leaderboard with a 2-under 214 (72-68-74). Sophomore Lindsey Solberg carded the best round of the day for the Spartans, finishing with a 1-over 73. Solberg is tied for 19th overall at 224 (74-77-73). Aimee Neff and Natalie Brehm each had rounds of 75 to round out the team's scoring. Neff is in 28th place with a 227 (75-77-75), while Brehm is tied for 29th at 228 (80-73-75). Caroline Powers shot a 76 in the third round but is still tied for 15th overall at 223 (75-72-76). Shannon Warner is tied for 42nd (77-78-77--232).
