Women’s Golf Tops Minnesota in Match Play Dual

WAYZATA, Minnesota - The Michigan State women’s golf team opened the season by topping Minnesota in a match play dual on Saturday at Spring Hill Golf Club in Wayzata, Minnesota.

The Spartans picked up victories in three individual matches and halved three matches. Team points were awarded based on one point for a victory and a half point for a halved match, giving MSU a 4.5-1.5 win.

Logan Otter, Paz Marfa Sans and Yurika Tanida all picked up victories in their individual matches.

The Spartans will remain in Minnesota for the Minnesota Invitational, Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 11-12) at Prestwick Golf Club.
