Christine Meier Ties for Seventh Place at Michigan PGA Women's Open
Meier finishes as the second-best amateur in the event.

THOMPSONVILLE, Mich. - A number of former and current Spartans completed action at the three-round Michigan PGA Women's Open Wednesday afternoon at Crystal Mountain Resort.
Rising senior Christine Meier was the second-best amateur in the event and finished in a tie for seventh place overall with an even-par 216 (71-71-74).
Other current Spartans that played in the tournament were Lindsey McPherson (placed 22nd with a 222), Liz Nagel (tied for 25th with a 224), Trisha Witherby (tied for 36th with a 227), Gabby Yurik (tied for 43rd with a 230), Bea Murray (tied for 59th with a 237), Mariah Massa (tied for 68th with a 244), Yushira Budhram (placed 73rd with a 247), Soleil Singh (placed 76th with a 252) and Mackenzie Johnson (placed 83rd with a 262).
Spartan head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll tied for 68th with a 244 (80-79-79).
Former Spartans that competed in the tournament included Laura Kueny (tied for 30th with a 225) and Sue Ertl (tied for 36th with a 227).
Inhong Lim won the tournament - which featured a mix of professionals and amateurs - on the first playoff hole over Corie Hou. Lim and Hou both finished their three rounds with a 4-under 216.
