EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's golf head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll has announced the team's 2014-15 schedule.
MSU starts off the season by hosting the 31st annual Mary Fossum Invitational Sept. 13-14 at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing. The Spartans have won their home tournament eight out of the past 11 years, including last season.
The following week, Michigan State heads to the Mason Rudolph Championship (Sept. 19-21) at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee, for the third straight season. The course hosted the 2012 NCAA Championships.
In October, MSU heads to two familiar tournaments in North Carolina to wrap up the fall season. First up, the Spartans will play in the Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 10-12 in Chapel Hill then the Landfall Tradition Oct. 24-26 in Wilmington.
The team will head to Sarasota, Florida, Jan. 16-19 for the "Spartan Spring Training Trip" in preparation for the spring season, which begins Feb. 8-10 at the Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, California.
Later in February, the Spartans will travel to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship (Feb. 22-24) for the first time in the event's five-year history. The tournament is co-hosted by Tulane University and the Allstate Sugar Bowl at par 72, 6,105-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans. Michigan State's annual spring break trip is set for March 9-13 in Lecanto and Naples, Florida.
The Spartans return to tournament action March 23-24 for the Briar's Creek Invitational in Johns Island, South Carolina. The event, which will be in its third year in 2015, is hosted by the College of Charleston at the Briar's Creek Golf Club.
MSU will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, on April 3-5 for the Bryan National Collegiate and finish the regular spring season at the Lady Buckeye Invitational April 18-19 at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.
For the first time, the Big Ten Championships (April 24-26) will be held at The Fort Golf Course in Indianapolis. The Big Ten announced a two-year agreement to host the Big Ten Championships at The Fort Golf Course earlier this year.
The NCAA Regionals will be held in various locations across the country on May 7-9 and the NCAA Championships are set for May 22-27 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida.
