Women’s Golf Adds Three for 2018-19

EAST LANSING - Michigan State women’s golf head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll announced on Nov. 8 the addition of three players for the 2018-19 season. Elizabeth Harding, Haylin Harris and Tabby Robinson will all join the Spartan golf team next fall.

Elizabeth Harding | South Lyon, Mich. | South Lyon

Coach Slobodnik-Stoll on Elizabeth Harding: “Elizabeth is the third Harding sister that will join our squad. She comes from a family that is totally immersed in golf as her father played for the Spartans and her mom played at Auburn. Elizabeth is a wonderful young woman and we look forward to having her as part of our team.”

Three-time MHSAA first-team All-State selection (2015-17) … 2017 conference champion … Was the regional runner-up in 2017 … 2014 MHSAA regional medalist … Qualified for the IMG World Junior Golf Championship at Torrey Pines … Helped lead South Lyon to consecutive top-three finishes at the MHSAA Division-2 state finals … Member of the National Honor Society … Earned a spot on the principal’s list as a sophomore and junior … Will join sisters Caroline and Priscilla on the MSU women’s golf team.

Haylin Harris | Carmel, Indiana | Carmel

Coach Slobodnik-Stoll on Haylin Harris: “Haylin has proven herself as one of the junior top players in the nation and we look forward to adding her to the Spartan family next fall. She is a great athlete who will be an impact player for us and she is wonderful young woman as well.”

Currently ranked 12th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Girls Junior Rankings and 25th in the Rolex AJGA Polo Golf Rankings … Qualified for three consecutive USGA Girls Junior Championships (2015-17), making the field of 64 match play in 2015 and ’16, and then all the way to the round of 16 in 2017 … Qualified for the 2017 USGA Women’s Amateur … Has played in 14 AGJA events, earning two victories … Won the 2017 Davis Love Open with the help of a final round 67 and the 2017 Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Open after a 68 in the final round … Finished the top of six AGJA events … Been invited to play in the Junior Orange Bowl, Dec. 27-30, in Miami that features the world’s top 40 high school girls … Attended Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona, as a freshman and sophomore … Placed second in the Arizona Girls High School State Golf Championship as a freshman.

Taby Robinson | Dublin, Ohio | Dublin Jerome

Coach Slobodnik-Stoll on Taby Robinson: “We are happy to welcome Taby to our Spartan family. Taby has had great success on the links and golf is a very big part of her family as her older sister, Sybil, is already part of our team. We look forward to Taby bringing her skills and talent to our program next fall.”

Earned All-Ohio honors in 2015 (77-75) and 2017 (75-73) at the OHSAA State Tournament … Helped lead Dublin Jerome to consecutive OHSAA Division-I State Championships in 2014 and 2015 … Named the 2015 Central Ohio Player of the Year … Named first-team all-conference four straight years from 2014-17 … 2017 OCC Player of the Year … Finished Top-10 in the 2017 Ohio Girls Junior Championship … Qualified for the Callaway Junior World Championship in 2017 ... Won the first flight in the Ohio 2017 Women’s Amateur Championship ... Finished second in the Golfweek Junior in Ann Arbor in 2017 … Won the AJGA Pre-Season Junior at Fieldstone Country Club in 2015 ... Ranked as a Top 10 Player in Ohio in 2017 … Has 3.97 cumulative GPA, earning a spot on the honor roll in every semester … Was awarded the Academic Excellence Award in 2015 at Dublin Jerome … Sister, Sybil, is a redshirt sophomore on the MSU women’s golf team.
