Before taking off for the holiday break, the No 21 ranked Michigan State women's golf team shared some of their favorite things about the holiday season.

Best golf related Christmas gift you've ever received:  My dad found a really old, neat trophy and had it engraved for me after I won the Grand Rapids Women's City Championship.

Worst Christams gift ever received:  Those dorky little golf gizmos.

Family Christmas Traditions:  Dec. 9 we get small gifts in our stockings from St. Nicholas (Czechoslovakian tradition), open up presents Christmas Eve, midnight mass, and my dad's surprise gift each year that makes everyone cry from laughing so hard after we open them up.

Person on the team most likely to start a snowball fight:  Sara Brown

Favorite ornament on your Christmas Tree:  Peanuts Gang musical ornament.

Coldest weather you've ever played golf in:  2002 Big Ten Championships in Illinois.

Best golf related Christmas gift you've ever received:  A golf bag when I was in high school.

Favorite Christmas movie:  A Christmas Story or Davey and Goliath's Christmas Story (It's a toss up).

Family Christmas traditions:  On Christmas Eve we have a party and we eat sloppy joe's and chili.

Favorite holiday food:  Macaroni and cheese with homemade rolls. (MMM! YUM!)

The item on top of your Christmas list:  A digital camera (say cheese!!)

Favorite holiday food:  Mom's mashed potatoes, cole slaw, and creamed corn.

What did you leave for Santa on Christmas Eve: Milk and cookies for Santa, and carrots for his reindeer

Family Christmas Traditions:  We all get together and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation over and over.  We know it by heart.

Favorite Christmas Song:  Stevie Nick's "Silent Night"

Hockey or figure skating:  Hockey

Person on the team that's the toughest to shop for:  Holly Niederkohr

Favorite ornament on your Christmas tree:  A glass reindeer my dad bought for me when he was on a business trip.

Your New Year's resolution:  Learn to focus on the NOW.

Worst Christmas gift ever received:  Old lady perfume.

Family Christmas traditions:  Opening gifts Christmas Eve night and making monkey bread with my mom.

Person on the team most likely to get a lump of coal in their stocking:  Assistant coach Lorne Don

Best golf related Christmas gift you've ever received:  Golf tees with my name on them.  I still use them!

Favorite Christmas movie:  Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer (the one with the clay puppets on TV).

Favorite holiday food:  Any kind of dessert with a lot of sugar.

Favorite ornament on your Christmas tree:  My Christmas Barbie ornament.

Your New Year's resolution:  Be more punctual.

Best gift you've ever given someone:  I made my brother a sweet blanket.

Favorite Christmas song:  All I Want For Christmas Is You

Person on the team most likely to get a lump of coal in their stocking:  Uhh...none of us are perfect.

My New Year's Resolution:  Be more patient.

Best Christmas gift you've ever given someone:  Personalized Build-a-Bear for my grandma.

Favorite Christmas movie:  The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

Coldest weather you've ever played golf in:  Big Ten's in 2005.  It was 20 degrees with snow and wind.

Sophomore Jordyn Wells (Bethel Park, Pa.)

Worst Christmas gift you've ever received:  A neon pink sweater.

Family Christmas traditions:  Decorating the tree together, reading The Night Before Christmas together on Christmas Eve, leaving cookies and milk for "Santa", eating shrimp on Christmas Eve and Ham on Christmas Day.

Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph:  Rudolph all the way.

What did you leave for Santa on Christmas Eve:  Cookie cutter cookies and skim milk (gotta keep Santa healthy!)
