Dana Herr is in her second season as the Spartans' student manager. She assists the team during training, working specifically with bars, and provides sideline support during meets. Herr also fills in other gym responsibilities as needed. A two-year member of the Michigan State gymnastics team from 2001-02, she medically disqualified from competition in 2003 follwing a knee injury sustained during her freshman season. A two-time National Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches Association/Women Academic All-America selection, Herr is an advertising major at Michigan State. She has an anticipated graduation date of May, 2005. A native of Phoenixville, Pa., she is the daughter of Dave and Patti Herr and is one of five children. |
