Spartans Set for Big Ten Championships


MSU Gymnastics to Compete at Big Ten Championships

Spartans will travel to Penn State and compete in the first session on Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m.

2006: Named Michigan State's Most Outstanding Gymnast for second consecutive season...Claimed dual first-place honors on vault and floor (9.800) vs. Kentucky to open the season on Jan. 6...Won vault (9.850) and floor exercise (9.875) events vs. Western Michigan and Pittsburgh on Jan. 14, both season-highs...Posted a first-place finish (9.775) on vault and a third-place finish on beam (9.500) at Ball State on Feb. 10...At New Hampshire on Feb. 18, earned second on floor exercise (9.775)...Earned first-place finishes on beam (9.750) and floor exercise (9.800), and second on vault (9.775) vs. Alaska Anchorage on Feb. 24...Tied for second on vault at two consecutive meets - Northern Illinois on March 5 (9.775) and Illinois on March 11 (9.725)...Set career-high with a first-place finish on beam (9.925) at NIU...First-place tie on vault (9.800) and sixth-place tie on floor exercise (9.850) at the March 25 Big Ten Championship Meet...Scored 9.775 on vault, 9.500 on beam, and 9.750 on April 7 at Central Regional Championship Meet.

2005: One of four Spartans to compete in all 14 team meets in 2005...Competed on floor exercise and vault for the Green and White...Scored a 9.800 on floor and a 9.825 on vault in season-opening quad meet at Jenison Field House...Registered a 9.800 on floor at Arizona on Jan. 15...Posted a 9.875 floor routine and a 9.850 vault, winning both events vs. Ohio State on Jan. 22...Repeated the feat, producing a 9.850 on floor and a 9.800 vault, vs. Northern Illinois on Jan. 30...Scored a 9.825 on floor at the State of Michigan Classic on Feb. 6...On Feb. 19 vs. Illinois, won the floor exercise (9.850)...Finished third on floor (9.800) and first on vault (9.800) at Pittsburgh on Feb. 26...Placed second on floor (9.900) and third (9.850) on vault at Kentucky on March 4...In tri-meet at West Virginia, posted a 9.875 to finish third on the floor...Won her fourth floor title of the season, posting a 9.900 vs. Illinois-Chicago and Illinois State on March 12...Produced a 9.825 on floor and vault in regular-season finale vs. Michigan...Posted a 9.725 on the floor exercise and a 9.775 on vault at the Big Ten Championship Meet on March 26...Was the lone Spartan to compete in the NCAA Regionals, posting a 9.600 on floor and a 9.650 on vault at the Southeast Regional.

2004: Recorded a 9.750 on floor exercise in her collegiate debut on Jan. 9... Posted 9.750 on vault and 9.825 on floor at Florida on Jan. 23... Recorded a 9.900 on floor, and shared vault title with a 9.825 at Illinois on Jan. 25... Posted a 9.850 on floor at Michigan on Jan. 31...Recorded career-high (9.925) on floor at the Spartan Invitational on Feb. 14...Tied career-best (9.925) on floor exercise against Ohio State and West Virginia on Feb. 28, which marked her third consecutive week earning 9.850 or higher on the floor...Established career-best 9.900, tying for the vault title against Boise State... Also posted a career-high (9.900) on beam against Boise State on March 7...Posted 9.875 on floor at the Big Ten Championship Meet (March 20)...Scored 9.800 on vault and 9.775 on floor at NCAA Regional Meet.
