Hobie’s Invitational (2/21), tied for eighth-best in school history and a personal best ... also set career mark on balance beam with a 9.875 at Hobie’s ... led the team with a 9.787 floor exercise season average ... had fourth-best bars average (9.627) ... tied for first on the floor v. Illinois on 1/24 with a 9.850 ... placed second on the floor in four other meets ... took second on uneven bars at State of Michigan Classic on 1/31 (9.875), at Iowa on 2/14 (9.850), at Hobie’s on 2/21 (9.900) and at Towson on 3/8 (9.825) ... tied for second on the balance beam with 9.875 v. 1997: Burst onto the scene as a freshman, setting the MSU record on floor exercise with a 9.950 on 3/14 vs. Ohio State ... tied for second-best on team with a 9.875 on bars at the Hobie’s Invitational ... also enjoyed personal bests vs. NC State on 3/16 on vault (9.600) and all-around (38.000) ... tied for 27th in the country in floor exercise with a 9.877 average, and 47th nationally on the bars with a 9.824 average.

Pre-MSU: Came to MSU after competing at the Gymnastics Institute of Colorado ... went to nationals in 1994 and ’95, placing 10th on bars in ’95 ... coached by Link and Lindy Franzini ... a 1996 graduate of Cherry Creek High School in Englewood.

Personal: Born Jan. 20, 1978, in Colorado, she is the daughter of David and Pam Kiker ... a political science/pre-law major at MSU ... aspires to be a lawyer ... enjoys hiking, water skiing and camping.
