Spartan Gymnastics Earns 10 Career Highs In Tri-Meet Win Over Iowa and Ball State Sunday

Michigan State captures individual event wins on vault, beam, floor and all-around; Lagoski logs MSU record book mark 9.950 on floor


MSU Gymnastics to Compete at Big Ten Championships

Spartans will travel to Penn State and compete in the first session on Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m.

2006: A powerful gymnast and strong team contributor... Competed in 14 meets... First-Team All-Big Ten...Also garnered Academic All-Big Ten honors...Won the all-around title four times during the season - vs. Western Michigan and Pittsburgh on Jan. 14 (38.500), at Denver on Jan. 28 (38.700), vs. Alaska Anchorage (39.050) on Feb. 24, and at Northern Illinois (39.300) on March 5...Placed first vs. Kentucky on bars (9.825) to open the season on Jan. 6...Against WMU and Pittsburgh, claimed the bars title (9.850), earned top all-around honors (38.500), and placed second on vault (9.800) and floor exercise (9.775)...Finished first on bars (9.800) and second all-around (38.950) at Ohio State on Jan. 21...Captured first-place honors on beam (9.775) and second-place all-around (39.225) on Feb. 3 at the State of Michigan Classic...Tied for first on bars (9.800) and finished third all-around (38.800) vs. New Hampshire on Feb. 18...Against Alaska Anchorage on Feb. 24 - first on vault (9.800), bars (9.750), and beam (9.750), second on the floor exercise (9.750) and first all-around (39.050)...Set a career high (39.300) with the all-around title at Northern Illinois on March 5...Posted another career high on beam (9.900) at NIU...Placed second all-around at the March 25 Big Ten Championship Meet (39.100)...Also placed eighth on bars (9.775), and sixth on beam (9.800)...Capped off a great year with a third-place finish in the all-around at the Central Regional Championships on April 7...Sole MSU competitor at the NCAA Championship Meet on April 20, where she placed 23rd in the all-around (37.675).

2005: Emerged as one of Michigan State's top all-around threats in 2005...Opened season by posting a 9.800 on vault and a second-place finish on bars (9.775) at Jan. 7 quad-meet...Scored a 38.700 in her first-career all-around performance on Jan. 15, finishing second at Arizona...Registered a career-high (9.800) on beam vs. Ohio State on Jan. 22, scored a 9.800 on bars to win the apparatus...Posted season-high (9.775) on the floor exercise vs. Northern Illinois on Jan. 30...Scored a 9.850 on bars, and a season-high (9.825) on vault to finish third (38.775) all-around at the State of Michigan Classic on Feb. 6...Produced all-around score of 37.550 at the Fox Run Invitational hosted by UNH...Tied for second on vault (9.700) and registered an all-around score of 38.350 vs. Illinois on Feb. 19...Won the bars competition by scoring 9.875 on Feb. 26 at Pittsburgh...Scored a 39.100 to win the all-around competition vs. Illinois-Chicago and Illinois State on March 12... Also finished second on beam (9.775) and bars (9.825), and third on vault (9.775)...Posted third-place finish with all-around score of 39.025, including 9.825 on bars, on March 18 vs. Michigan...Finished 14th all-around (37.575) at the Big Ten Championship Meet.

2004: Enjoyed success as a team contributor in her debut season...Scored 9.650 on vault in her second collegiate meet at Central Michigan on Jan. 18...Tied for the vault title with a career 9.825 at Illinois on Jan. 25...Posted a 9.825 on bars at the Spartan Invitational on Feb. 14...Posted a season-best (9.900) on floor against Pittsburgh on Feb. 21...Recorded 9.725 on vault against Ohio State and West Virginia on Feb. 28...Registered a 9.850 on floor against OSU and WVU to contribute to MSU capturing the event title...Posted a season-best (9.900) on vault at Oregon State on March 5...Tied season-best (9.900) on floor exercise at Boise State on March 7.

Pre-MSU: Member of Ontario's national team, competed in 1999 Canada Games and 2001 Canadian National Championships...Took second in the all-around at the 2002 Gymnix International Invitational, and placed fourth on bars and beam at the same event...Member of Team Gold at 2001 Canadian National Championships...Claimed fifth place in the all-around at Provincial Championships in 2002, and took second on floor...Captured floor title at Gasparilla Classic in Tampa, Fla., in 2002, and eighth in the all-around...Won the all-around and floor titles at the 2001 Buckeye Classic, and finished second on vault and third on beam...Earned all-around title at 2000 Provincial Tour Selection, while taking second on floor, third on vault and fourth on bars.
