Gymnasts Honored at Team Banquet

The MSU gymnastics team held its annual team banquet on Sunday (April 29).

2012: Earned MSU's Spirit Award...Saw action for the first time as a Spartan in a scrimmage against Western Michigan, competing on the vault, uneven bars and the floor exercise...Recorded a personal-best mark on the bars against Illinois-Chicago (9.700)...Posted a career-high in the floor exercise vs. Pittsburgh (9.575)...Made her balance beam debut at Iowa with a 8.450 score.

Prior to Michigan State: Attended Moanalua High School ... Coached by Joe Rapp at Hawaiian Island Twisters ... Placed second at the Hawaiian state gymnastics meet in both 2008 and 2010 ... Qualified for the Junior Olympics Nationals as both a sophomore and a senior in high school ... Placed second in the all-around and first on the vault at the 2011 Level 10 state meet ... A regional meet qualifier in 2010 ... Won the beam championship at the 2009 Level 10 state meet ... At the Level 9 state meet in 2008, placed first on the beam and qualified for the Level 9 Western Nationals ... Earned the principal's award in 2006, 2007 and 2008 ...
