Moorman Named Big Ten Women's Soccer Player of the Week

East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State sophomore Jessica Moorman has been named the Big Ten Conference's Player of the Week for her efforts in helping the Spartans to a pair of wins.

Moorman, a native of Hudson, Ohio, tallied two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over Valparaiso last Friday (Sept. 12) before recording the game-winning goal in a 2-0 triumph over Detroit on Sunday (Sept. 14).

At the start of the week, Moorman was tied for fourth place among Big Ten players in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist. Moorman will take a three-game goal scoring streak into MSU's next contest, a home date vs. Ohio State on Friday (Sept. 19) starting at 4:00 p.m. at Old College Field.
