Women's Soccer Fills Spring Schedule

Tom Saxton has announced the spring competition schedule for the Michigan State women's soccer program. MSU will play five spring contests; the Spartans graduate 10 seniors from the 2011 squad which won 14 games, second-most in school history.

Winter Clinic Registrations Have Reached Capacity

Head Coaches Tom Saxton and Damon Rensing have announced that available spots for the Spartan Winter Clinics (Feb 26/March 11) are now sold out, and no more registrations will be accepted at this time.

Spartans Welcome 10 for Fall 2012

Head coach Tom Saxton announced today that ten future Spartans have signed letters of intent to join the Michigan State women's soccer program in the fall of 2012.

Heyboer Drafted by Sky Blue FC

Michigan State senior Laura Heyboer (Hudsonville, Mich.) was selected by Sky Blue FC in Friday's Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) Draft. Sky Blue, which plays atRutgers' Yurcak Field in Piscataway, NJ, made the Spartans' all-time leading scorer their 19th pick in the draft. The 2012 WPS Draft was held Friday in Kansas City, and Sky Blue FC owned three of the first nine picks in the event.

Heyboer Named Academic All-America

Senior Laura Heyboer (Hudsonville, Mich.) was named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Women's Soccer Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Heyboer was named to the first team, while teammate Jill Flietstra (Hudsonville, Mich.) was a second team All-District selection earlier this fall.
