2/3/2012 Spartans Welcome 10 for Fall 2012Head coach Tom Saxton announced today that ten future Spartans have signed letters of intent to join the Michigan State women's soccer program in the fall of 2012. 1/13/2012 Heyboer Drafted by Sky Blue FCMichigan State senior Laura Heyboer (Hudsonville, Mich.) was selected by Sky Blue FC in Friday's Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) Draft. Sky Blue, which plays atRutgers' Yurcak Field in Piscataway, NJ, made the Spartans' all-time leading scorer their 19th pick in the draft. The 2012 WPS Draft was held Friday in Kansas City, and Sky Blue FC owned three of the first nine picks in the event. 12/1/2011 Heyboer Named Academic All-AmericaSenior Laura Heyboer (Hudsonville, Mich.) was named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Women's Soccer Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
