Stacy Heller begins her eighth season as an assistant coach at Michigan State, where her primary responsibilities include working with the Spartan goalkeepers.

Under Heller's tutelage, goalkeeper Nicole Galas finished her career ranked in the top 10 in virtually every goalkeeping category. Galas, finished second in school history in shutouts (21) and third in both saves (262) and wins (25). In 2005, Galas posted a 12-6-5 record, a 0.92 goals against average, a .832 save percentage and set a school record for shutouts in a season, with 12. Her current pupil, Jill Flietstra, earned First Team All-Big Ten and First Team All-Great Lakes Region honors in 2011, boasting a GAA of 0.64 and a save percentage of .885 as a junior. With her outstanding season, she ascended into the top spot in the MSU recordbooks for career GAA (0.74), and her 11 shutouts during the season gave her 18 in her career, good for third in the MSU career annals.

Heller began her coaching career as an undergraduate assistant at Michigan State, following a four-year career as a goalkeeper with the Spartans.

The Madison, Wis., native was a two-time All-Big Ten honoree, including first-team accolades in 2002. Heller posted 41 wins and a program-best 21.5 shutouts over her four-year career in Green and White and remains one of the most successful goalkeepers in school history. Heller was recognized as an Academic All-American in 2003.

Heller, who holds an NSCAA "C" License and is a 2004 graduate of MSU, also coaches for the Lansing TNT Club as well as serving as goalkeeping director for the program.
