Spartan Women's Soccer Travels to CMU for Final Exhibition Game

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State Women’s Soccer team takes on the Central Michigan in their final exhibition game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12. The Chippewas will host the Spartans at the CMU Soccer Complex in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Michigan State and Central Michigan met last in 2015 in exhibition play, when the teams played to a 0-0 draw in Mount Pleasant.

MSU is coming off a 2-1 win against Toledo with goals from freshman Danielle Stephan and senior Jamie Cheslik. Twenty-two Spartans saw action in the game, including five freshmen. Redshirt senior Savanna Wojtanowski and redshirt sophomore Reilley Ott split time in net, collecting four saves in total.

Spartans Fall to the Chippewas, 2-1
The Michigan State women’s soccer team fell, 2-1, Sunday afternoon to Central Michigan University, due to early goals from the Chippewas.

The Spartans will open regular season play on Friday, Aug. 18 at 3 p.m. against Niagara at DeMartin Stadium.
