EAST LANSING, Mich. - - The Big Ten Network has announced its fall broadcasting schedule for men's and women's soccer and field hockey. The Spartans will be featured on BTN a combined seven times, four of which will be home games.
Two of the three men's soccer games airing on the network will take place at DeMartin Stadium, starting on Oct 13 at 1 p.m. when Michigan State will take on Ohio State. The Spartans' other home game airing on BTN will be Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. when they host Notre Dame, which is ranked seventh in the preseason poll. Michigan State will be featured again on Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. in a road game at Wisconsin.
Women's soccer will appear twice on Big Ten Network this fall, beginning Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. in its Big Ten opener when they travel to Lincoln to take on Nebraska. MSU will be featured again on BTN on Oct. 3 ( 3 p.m.) as the Spartans host archrival Michigan.
Michigan State field hockey will be highlighted on Big Ten Network in back-to-back weekend appearances to start October. The Spartans' first road test in the Big Ten will be featured on the network on Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. as they take on Indiana. The following week, the Spartans will play host to in-state rival Michigan on Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
MSU's combined seven appearances between the three sports are tied for the most of any school in the Big Ten with Indiana.
