Women's Soccer Draws Illinois in Big Ten Tournament First Round

EAST LANSING, Mich. -
The Michigan State women's soccer team will take on Illinois on Thursday (Nov. 6) in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament in Iowa City, Iowa at 7 p.m. The Spartans are the No. 4 seed in the tournament while Illinois is the fifth seed.
Should MSU win, they would play the winner of the Penn State (No. 1 seed) and Iowa (No. 8 seed) match on Friday (Nov. 7).
In addition to MSU, Illinois, Penn State and Iowa, Purdue (No. 3 seed), Ohio State (No. 6 seed), Minnesota (No. 2 seed) and Northwestern (No. 7 seed) will also be a part of this year's conference tournament.
In their meeting earlier this year, the Illini defeated the Spartans, 3-0, in Champaign, Ill., on Oct. 3.
