Softball Signs Kristina Zalewski to NLI

Michigan State softball head coach Jacquie Joseph has announced that Kristina Zalewski (Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline High School) has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Spartans and will be eligible to compete in the 2014 season.

Softball Edged by Purdue

Michigan State softball fell to Purdue, 8-5, on Thursday evening in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Freshman Destinee Luna and senior Jenny Ramsaier both notched two RBIs for the Spartans. Michigan State finished the season 24-25 overall and 9-10 in conference games.

Softball Competes in Big Ten Tournament

The Michigan State softball team will travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the Big Ten Tournament. The Spartans will face Purdue in the first round of the single-elimination tournament at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 9. MSU finished the regular season 24-24 overall and 9-10 in Big Ten games.

Hopkins and O'Bryant Recognized by Big Ten

Senior center fielder Kylene Hopkins and senior third baseman Jayme O'Bryant have received All-Big Ten accolades, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, May 8.

Jenny Ramsaier: Always Helping Others

Senior Jenny Ramsaier is in her final season as part of the Michigan State softball program after four years of helping out the team. Ramsaier has played in nearly 200 games in the Spartan uniform, starting in almost all of them, and has been an anchor for Michigan State at second base during that time.
