Tiffany Yager, a four-year letterwinner at MSU, will spend her sixth year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Spartans.
A native of Mt. Pleasant, Yager was a four-year starter in the outfield, playing in 213 games during her career.
In 1999, she had a .331 on-base percentage and led the team in stolen bases with 27. Her 27 steals ranked fifth in the Big Ten and topped her own seasonal record of 19 set in 1998. Yager was third on the team in runs scored with 30 and drew a team-high 20 walks.
She ended her career ranks among MSU?s career leaders in games played (213/4th), hits (102/23rd), runs (98/T-2nd), walks (54/5th), stolen bases (55/2nd) and sacrifices (37/4th). Yager was a member of a class that guided the Spartans to 159 victories, the most by any senior class in the 26-year history of MSU softball. She also played an integral part in leading the Spartans to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
