EAST LANSING, Mich. - The two hitting sessions and the all positions/all-skills camp, as part of the annual Spartan Holiday Fastpitch Clinic are full. However, there are still spots available for the Junior Spartan camp, and the pitching and catching clinic. The Holiday Fastpitch Clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 28, and Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Duffy Daugherty Building.

The clinic allows kids between the ages of 7-18 the opportunity to work on their softball fundamentals during the winter, all while begin instructed by the softball team and staff.

Registration ends Wednesday, Dec. 21, and the cost for the remaining open sessions are $80 for the Junior Spartan camp, and $45 for the pitching and catching clinic.

The 7-12 age clinic is designed to provide the younger athlete specialized instruction on all aspects of the sport. All fundamental skills including throwing, fielding, hitting, sliding, etc., as well as their positional choice including pitching and catching.

In addition to skill development, the 13-18 age clinic provides an excellent opportunity for the high school players to be instructed and evaluated by the MSU softball staff. This provides a great opportunity for the prospective student-athlete to meet the staff and become more familiar with MSU softball, both academically and athletically. The clinic is designed for all student-athletes who have a serious interest in playing at MSU and/or in college.
