EAST LANSING, Mich. - The 2009 Holiday Softball Clinic is now officially sold out. The Michigan State softball team will host its thirteenth annual Holiday Fastpitch Clinic on Monday, Dec. 28, and Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the Duffy Daugherty Building. The clinic allows kids between the ages of 7-18 the opportunity to work on their softball fundamentals during the winter, all while begin instructed by the softball team and staff.

Registration ends Tuesday, Dec. 22, and the cost for sessions are $75 for ages 7-12, and $150 for ages 13-18.

The 7-12 age clinic is designed to provide the younger athlete specialized instruction on all aspects of the sport. All fundamental skills including throwing, fielding, hitting, sliding, etc., as well as their positional choice including pitching and catching.

In addition to skill development, the 13-18 age clinic provides an excellent opportunity for the high school players to be instructed and evaluated by the MSU softball staff. This provides a great opportunity for the prospective student-athlete to meet the staff and become more familiar with MSU softball, both academically and athletically. The clinic is designed for all student-athletes who have a serious interest in playing at MSU and/or in college.

Ages 7-12: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Dec. 28th.
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Dec. 29th.
Ages 13-18: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Dec. 28th.
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Dec. 29th.
