Anyone interested in trying out for the 2012-13 Michigan State softball team must attend a mandatory informational meeting on Sept. 4, 2012, at 4:30 p.m., at Secchia Stadium (behind Jenison Field House). Interested individuals should come dressed and ready for practice on Tuesday, Sept. 4, as tryouts will follow a brief meeting.

Prior to that meeting, interested individuals must have registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center and completed the amateurism form, as well as obtaining a physical signed by a physician. Individuals must also be willing to fill out NCAA compliance forms, including signing the NCAA Drug Testing Consent form, a sickle cell form, and be willing to present or obtain health insurance.

Additionally, class schedules should be arranged to allow for free afternoons, from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.
