Final Stats

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's tennis fell to No. 17 Purdue, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.  The Spartans own a 10-10 record on the season and a 0-5 record in conference matches.

Senior Marina Bohrer and sophomore Catherine Parenteau picked up the lone win in doubles play on court one.  The two paired up to defeat Mara Schmidt and Krisztina Kapitany, 8-6.

In singles matches at the top spot, Bohrer defeated Lynda Xepoleas, 6-2, 6-3.  At the No. 4 spot, senior Nicole Herzog posted a 6-3, 6-4 win for the final Spartan point. 

Next up, Michigan State heads to Northwestern on Saturday, April 6, to compete at 12 p.m.  Then continue its road trip to face Illinois at 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, in Champaign, Ill.
