Women's Tennis Falls to No. 14 Northwestern

Senior Nicole Herzog picked up the lone Spartan point on court four.

EVANSTON, Ill. - Michigan State University women's tennis was defeated by No. 14 Northwestern, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.  MSU is now 10-11 overall and 0-6 in Big Ten play.

At the fourth slot in singles, senior Nicole Herzog picked up the lone Spartan point. After falling in the first set, 2-6, Herzog answered by edging Alicia Barnett, 6-4, in the second set. Herzog took the match posting 1-0 (10-6) in the final set.

The Spartans return to the action at Illinois on Sunday, April 7, at 12 p.m.
