Women's Tennis Falls to No. 12 Nebraska

Julianne Gruber and Emily Meyers have paired up for wins in their last three doubles matches.

Final Stats

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women’s tennis was defeated by No. 12 Nebraska, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.  The Spartans are 10-14 on the season and 0-8 in Big Ten play.

In singles matches, MSU picked up its lone point on court five with Emily Meyers beating Izabella Zgierska, 6-4, 8-6.

On court three in doubles play, freshman Emily Meyers and sophomore Julianne Gruber continued their winning streak to three matches, as they downed Iowa, 8-2. 

Michigan State will finish up the regular season next weekend.  The Green and White will first play Ohio State on Friday, April 19, at 2:30 p.m. in the final home game of the season at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.  The Spartans will then conclude their season on the road at Penn State on Sunday, April 21, at 11 a.m. ET.
