EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team competed Saturday at their own Green & White Invitational held at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. The second and final day of the four-team tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday and admission is free.

Overall for the day, MSU was good for nine total wins, including sweeping their six singles matches against Western Michigan, with wins coming from Marina Bohrer, Erin Faulkner, Olga Chernova, Emily Meyers, Athena Trouillot, and Julianne Gruber.

In MSU's singles matches against Louisville, the team finished 1-3, with the lone win coming from Meyers. MSU will face Eastern Michigan in singles at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Spartans won 2-1 over Eastern Michigan in doubles, with wins coming from the teams of Bohrer/Faulkner and Catherine Parenteau/Trouillot.

Play will continue Sunday at 9 a.m. with doubles action as Louisville will face Eastern Michigan and MSU will take on Western Michigan. At 10:15 a.m., more doubles will be played as MSU will battle Louisville and Western Michigan will play Eastern Michigan. Louisville will face Western Michigan in singles at 12 p.m.
