Women's Tennis 2018 Recruiting Class Ranked No. 12 in the Nation
MSU receives highest recruiting class ranking in program history.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State women’s tennis recruiting class of 2018 ranks No. 12 in the Top 25 Women’s Recruiting Class Rankings, as announced by the Tennis Recruiting Network on Monday.
This is the Spartans’ first-ever appearance in the Top 25 Women’s Recruiting Class rankings, making this the highest recruiting class ranking in program history for MSU.
“To not only be recognized in the top 25 for the first time in MSU history but to be No. 12 proves that the future of Michigan State University Women’s tennis very bright,” head coach Kim Bruno said. “I look forward to working with this talented group and for them to officially start wearing the Green and White.”
The 2018 recruiting class includes Nicole Stephens (Marietta, Ga.), Lauren Lemonds (Carmel, Ind.), Maja Pietrowicz (Clinton Township, Mich.) and Kate Harvey (Lake Forest, Ill.). Three of the four are five-star recruits.
Michigan State is joined by three Big Ten competitors in the Top 25 rankings in Northwestern, Michigan and Ohio State. The Wildcats and Wolverines sit just above the Spartans at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.
The Buckeyes close out the Big Ten in the rankings at No. 13.
The rankings will be updated in the spring to account for new commitments.
