EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team holds a 7-2 record so far into its 2014 schedule. In an attempt to "Meet the Spartans," msuspartans.com will feature a student-athlete every week throughout the season. Senior Christina Brown (Warren, Mich.) is featured this week. Brown holds a 1-3 career singles record. Prior to competing on the Division I level, Brown spent her first two seasons playing on the MSU club tennis team.

Favorite part about your hometown: It's quiet

Reason for coming to MSU: It was my top choice to come here

Best memories from MSU: I would say being with the team and all of our funny moments

How long have you been playing tennis: 13 years

Nicknames: Do you want all of them? I have a lot. There's Tina, CB, C Breezy, C Brown, coach Tyler Faulkner's favorite is downtown Tina Brown, there's a lot. There's just too many to say

Biggest fear: Bugs, I hate bugs

Hobbies: Shopping I guess. Can shopping be a hobby?
