Women's Tennis Concludes Seven-Match Road Trip

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State women’s tennis team concludes its seven-match road trip as they continue Big-Ten play this weekend. MSU will face Purdue on Saturday, March 25, with the match set to begin at 12 p.m. The Spartans will then travel to Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana on Sunday, March 26, with the match set to begin at 11 a.m.

The Spartans are 10-4 on the season after falling to No. 9 Michigan in the Big-Ten opener last weekend.

As a team, MSU is 79-51 in singles play this year, led by junior Aslina Chua who has a team-best 16 wins and senior Athena Trouillot, with a 14-7 record.

The duo of freshman Samantha Memjie and Trouillot lead the Spartans in doubles play, with a team-best 11 wins.

MSU is 4-46-1 in all-time matches against Indiana and 17-34 all-time against Purdue. Indiana has a record of 10-6 this season, while Purdue is 5-8 on the season.

Michigan State returns home next weekend as they host Minnesota and Wisconsin. MSU will host Minnesota on Saturday, April 1 and Wisconsin on Sunday, April 2. Both matches are set to begin at 12 p.m.
