Guentert Recognized by Big Ten for Sportsmanship

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Redshirt junior Dana Guentert was recognized by the Big Ten Conference on Thursday, April 26th. The conference released its list of All-Conference teams and individual award winners. Guentert was one of twelve recipients of the Sportsmanship Award. The Sportsmanship Award is given to those student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The student-athletes must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. Guentert played in both the number five and six spot for the Spartans throughout the season. The redshirt junior held a 2-3 record on court five a 6-3 record on court six and a 8-6 record overall. In doubles, she paired with freshman Julianne Gruber to go 3-2 on court three. A complete list of All-Big honorees is listed below.
