EAST LANSING, Mich. -

Two highly-regarded newcomers will be joining the Michigan State women's tennis program and head coach Simone Jardim for the 2014-2015 season. After signing their national letters of intent, Alexandra Baer (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Lexi Baylis (Clarkston, Mich.) will be heading to East Lansing, Mich., next fall to continue their tennis careers.

"Simone and I are thrilled with this recruiting class," assistant coach Tyler Faulkner said. "Lexi and Allie are both exceptionally accomplished players, but also have room to grow and improve. Lexi is one of the most tenacious, competitive players I've ever seen and fans are going to love watching her play. Allie is a tremendous doubles player with a huge serve that will get her a ton of free points. We can't wait to get them on campus."
