SOUTH BEND, Ind.-The Michigan State women's track and field team completed competition at the Meyo Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The competition was held at Loftus Sports Center with seniors Sarah Adelaine and Sherita Williams leading the way for the Spartans.

In the triple jump, Williams placed third overall with an MSU indoor record leap of 42-9 1/2, which was also an NCAA provisional qualifying distance. Sophomore Anna Coster finished second in her flight (38-11 3/4) in the triple jump, while junior Danielle Linenger and freshman Katrina Kelly finished the high jump in an eight-way tie for second place with leaps of 5-6.
 

 

Adelaine finished first overall in the shot put with a toss of 48-6 3/4, which ranks second on MSU's all-time indoor list, while freshman Michelle Rossio placed third in her flight with a throw of 42-5 1/2.

On the track, freshman Sarah Stornant placed second in her section of the one-mile run (5:02.22), while in the 800-meter run sophomore Megan Radermacher finished third in section three (2:12.33), junior Aimee Keenan placed second in section two (2:16.17) and freshman Katie Forsyth finished third in section one (2:20.34.)

The Spartans will continue on the road to the Iowa State Classic on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14 at Iowa State.
