June 25, 1997 Former Spartan Volleyball Standout Signs to Play ProfessionallyEAST LANSING, Mich. -- Former Michigan State volleyball standout Courtney DeBolt has signed a one-year contract to play professionally for the Dick De Lange Volco volleyball club in Zwolle, Holland. DeBolt, who guided the Spartans to a Big Ten title and an NCAA semifinal appearance in 1995, will be the team's No. 1 setter. She will depart for Holland in September and will play with the club until the conclusion of the 1997-98 season in May. The club finished second in the Dutch Championships last season and qualified for the European Cup. A native of Buffalo Grove, Ill., DeBolt graduated from MSU in May of 1997 with degrees in nutritional science and dietetics. |
