MSU Volleyball Advances to NCAA Tournament
EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State volleyball team was extended an invitation to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 30. The Spartans were placed in the Pacific division and will play Butler on Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska. The match will take place at 8:30 p.m. EST.
MSU has already played Butler once this season, defeating the Bulldogs, 3-0, in the first round of the Kentucky Conference Challenge on Sept. 20.
If MSU were to win its first round match, the Spartans would be matched up with host Nebraska, who enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed.
"We're thrilled to be going to the NCAA Tournament," said head coach Chuck Erbe. "We knew we were a bubble team going into the selection process and we are just happy to get a bid."
